Heffner & Associates, Ltd., is a small business established in 1981 by Jon Heffner. He found this area of Ohio had a need for consultative services for business and industry. Over 25 years later, business management consulting services for small and mid-sized companies, organizations and agencies  are still the cornerstone of the business.

In 1983, H & A added real estate sales to their list of services and is now a branch office of Emerson Wagner Realty Company of Sidney, Ohio. Emerson Wagner is the largest and most comprehensive real estate company in our region. Heffner & Associates also do several land development/construction projects throughout the area.

Several years ago, The Gathering Place was added to the H & A family of services. The renovated garage, where H & A's office is located, was redone to accommodate a place for mature residents of the area to gather, socialize, exercise, have health check-ups, and much more. Ellen Heffner, Jon's wife, continues to spearhead this effort. By working with Lifetime Enhancements Concepts for their construction projects, Jon and Ellen saw a real need in the region for affordable, homelike living space for seniors. By utilizing creative use of space, outdoor landscaping, and their construction enhancement concepts, The Ivy Cottage project was developed.  Ground will be breaking in the spring on the very first Ivy Cottage Assisted Living Development.
