Jon Heffner
The owner and general partner of Heffner & Associates is Jon Heffner. Previous to and running concurrently to his present business, Jon was the Director of the Business Development Center and Applied Technology Center at Upper Valley Joint Vocational School from 1981-1997. Prior to 1981 Jon was a school counselor and principal and was on the original staff for the formation of Upper Valley Joint Vocational School in 1975. Jon has a bachelors degree with a dual major in political science and psychology and a masters degree in counseling and psychotherapy. He has completed significant post graduate work in finance, business administration, and business analysis. He has been designated as a certified business analyst by the Ohio Department of Development and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Jon is also a licensed real estate agent.

Evelyn Sheafer
Evelyn Sheafer serves as a business consultant and also provides leadership on the Ivy Communities projects.  Evelyn has been designated as a Certified Business Analyst by the Ohio Department of Development and the U.S. Small Business Administration.  She is the majority owner of Buckeye Building Associates, LLC and a minority partner in Ivy Communities, LLC. 

From 1949-1954 Evelyn worked in banking and from 1955-1994 she was the co-owner of a mid-size farming operation in Troy, Ohio.  During that same time Evelyn owned her own drapery business and served as a consultant to the Elder Beerman Company.  From 1983-1989 she owned and operated a successful retail clothing store.  She was a licensed insurance agent in life/health and holds a series 6.  From 1988-2009 Evelyn worked at the Upper Valley Business Development Center as a consultant and later as the C0-Director and finally the Director of the Small Business Development Center.  During her first few years while part-time at Upper Valley she served as an account executive for commercial loans for a mortgage broker. 

To summarize, Evelyn has a unique blend of business, agricultural, and financial service experience. 

Nicole Doseck
Nicole Doseck received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance and Marketing from the Ohio State University. She worked in the private sector for five years as a financial analyst before joining Heffner & Associates, Ltd., in 2006. She is also a realtor through Emerson Wagner Realty.

Dave Sroufe
Dave Sroufe is a licensed real estate agent and has extensive experience in education, sales and workforce development.

Connie Guillozet
Connie Guillozet is our newest real estate agent. Connie has extensive experience in business and financial management.

Ray Lepore
Ray Lepore serves as a business and training consultant and is a partner in ProtoGen Group, LLC.  Most recently Ray has been an independent consultant and contractor, working mainly as a workforce development professional.  In the latter capacity, he served as the SkillsTrac program director.

Previously Ray was the Director of Workforce Solutions for Sinclair Community College and from 1997-2008 he was the Dean of Engineering Technology and Workforce Development at Edison Community College in Piqua.  From 1993-1997 he was an electrical engineering manager for Odawara Automation, Inc. and from 1988-1993 he was a senior engineer and group leader at PMI Food Equipment also in Troy.  From 1981-1988 Ray was the senior design engineer at LeCroy Corporation in Chestnut Ridge, NY. 

Ray has a BS and MS in physics from Indiana University. 

Rhonda Quinter

Rhonda has a degree in Business with extensive experience in office management, technology, and research. Rhonda manages the Russia office and has been working with Jon since 1994.

Rick Gaier
Rick Gaier, owner of Richard Gaier Construction, has been working as an independent contractor with Heffner & Associates since 1985. He will continue to provide a large portion of the actual construction activity as well as providing leadership on the design, bidding/estimating, and supervision of construction projects.

 

In addition to Heffner & Associates consultants, we have strong relationships with key professionals.

This is the beginning of a collection of impressions and thoughts generated while on various trips – usually on horseback in remote areas. Funny how some solitude while surrounded by nature and the works of God can give a person a little more insight than the same time spent in the hustle and bustle workday world.
